School of Management at Cal Lutheran Hosts Former IRS Commissioner
On March 27, our Accounting Association hosted former IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig and recently retired Los Angeles IRS Representative Luis Tejeda at an event in the Lundring Events Center. Our guests offered fascinating insights into the workings of an agency that, in 2024, collected more than $5 trillion in revenue and employed more than 90,000 full-time staff. After their panel presentation, they engaged in questions and answers with our students and a few community guests, that circulated around current topics related to the IRS as well as career paths. Thanks go to Accounting Association president Nathan Sakai and Accounting program director Geoffrey Plourde for making this outstanding event happen!
