School of Management Honors Jeff Brouelette for Distinguished Alumnus of the Year

Our Distinguished Alumnus of the Year is Jeff Brouelette. He graduated from the School of Management with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1991. During his time at Cal Lutheran, he was Captain of our NAIA State Championship baseball team. After graduation, he went on to climb the corporate ladder in different industries, including real estate. In 2012, he founded Strategic Financial Group, which he served as a CEO for several years and in 2015, he co-founded Arroyo Capital, a real estate finance and development company that provides finished lots to homebuilders in major homebuilding markets across the United States. As the Principal, he is actively involved in all financial aspects of the firm, underwriting new investments and oversight of projects during development, construction, and marketing. During his lifetime he has underwritten billions of dollars in real estate across major homebuilding markets in the United States. Besides his success in industry, we value Jeff for his loyalty to and engagement with his alma mater. For several years, Jeff has not only contributed financially to the School of Management, but he uses the services of our Center for Economic Research and Forecasting, keeps coming back to guest speak in Accounting and Finance courses, and he mentors students. Our sincere thanks and congratulations go to Jeff!
