"Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace" Event Honors local LatinX Community

The School of Management held our Fall event in the series, "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace". In honor of National Hispanic American Heritage Month, the focus of the event was on "Impact and Opportunities in the LatinX Business Community" and featured a number of our LatinX alumni and students - the panel (from left to right) consisted of alumnus Mark Garcia (MBA '18, CFO of Freska Produce), Diana Rodriguez (MSIT '16, Program Manager at Google), Rafael Cordero (MSIT '23), and Don Padilla (MBA-FP '22, CEO of MVP Sports and Entertainment Management), masterfully moderated by our faculty member, John Garcia. Our panelists shared their stories and insights and engaged in an inspiring discussion of questions from a hybrid audience of attendees in-person and via Zoom. Kudos go to the entire School of Management DEI Steering Committee under the leadership of our faculty member, Mary Jo Shane. Watch out for our next event in the series in the spring. Cal Lutheran is an institution dedicated to fostering diversity within our faculty and student body. Watch the event on our School of Management YouTube channel.
