RISE Zine
ABOUT
Coordinated, designed and distributed by CCEI staff, RISE Zine is a community-based publishing project and fundraising effort dedicated to the promotion of social justice, identity empowerment and social change through art. Like the name suggests, RISE Zine is meant to empower the Cal Lutheran community to rise up and speak out against injustice and, in doing so, inspire the rising of a new dawn - a world built on the principles of care, justice, love, and respect for all living beings.
100% of proceeds from zine sales benefit the Cal Lutheran Community Cupboard (50%) and the Student Equity & Inclusion Fund (50%).
SPRING 2024 ISSUE
Print and digital versions of the zine are now available for purchase! At 60 pages, this issue includes over 30 pieces of art and poetry from alumni, faculty, staff and students. As this issue is dedicated to the Chumash people and their ancestral lands, we have also included a section on Chumash solidarity that includes a word search with terms & definitions and a resource guide created in collaboration with Chumash community members.
