Residence Life
- Students interested in living on campus should submit their housing deposit as soon as they are able, housing applications will be released beginning in February. We ask that all students be as honest as possible on their housing application because we do our best to pair students based on interests and habits. Additionally, students are assigned their housing based on their deposit date.
- Which dorms are available to different year students?
- Our first year students are typically assigned to Pederson, Thompson, and Mt. Clef; depending on our incoming class size, South hall may also be utilized for first year students. Transfer and continuing students may live in any of other residence halls including traditional and apartment style halls.
Mogen, Grace, and Trinity all have kitchens; Mogen is a shared bedroom model with 4 students sharing a suite and 2 students in each bedroom; Grace and Trinity are single bedroom model with each student in the suite having their own bedroom. Kramer court is our Global Leaders Living Learning Community and it is also an apartment style residence hall with kitchens in each suite.
Students will complete a roommate agreement form at the beginning of the school year that will help each suite establish a set of rules that will hopefully help mitigate any future issues in the room. If any roommate feels that the roommate agreement is not being followed or believes that there is an issue in the room that should be mediated, then they should contact any Resident Assistant in the hall to discuss a roommate mediation. The RA will then schedule a mediation with all students in the room, the mediation is a great time to establish a new roommate agreement form if needed.
Each RA on-campus is required to complete a certain number of programs related to various points of focus and this has led to some amazing conversations between peers as well as engaging activities that help support student growth and development outside of the classroom. We encourage all residents to attend as many of these programs as possible, it is a great way to meet people and more often than not- there is some great food provided as well.
