Sabbath Walks
Start at The Enormous Luther.
Walk down the Spine to the Gazebo.
Once at the Gazebo take three minutes to sit and reflect on your day. Reflect on the highs and the lows. Reflect on decisions you have made today. What is God asking of you today? Pray for a peaceful mind and relaxation as the day continues.
Walk across the park to the bench underneath the tree that commemorates President George H.W. Bush's visit to our campus on the left corner of Kingsmen Park.
Take three minutes to reflect on the state of our nation and our world. While meditating imagine the perfect world. Pray for justice, peace, and strength for our world leaders.
Walk across Kingsman Park over the Bridge and find a small amphitheatre to your right.
When seated, take three minutes to reflect on your life. Reflect on your call from God. Reflect on the path you are on. Is there anything you need to ask God? Pray for clarity, understanding, and God's help as you end your time.
Start at Samuelson Chapel.
Find the Labyrinth behind Chapel.
Take ten minutes to walk through the Labyrinth. While walking into the Labyrinth focus on stability, quietness, and seriousness. Take this time to be calm as you get ready to meditate. Once in the center take a moment to simply breathe. As you walk out of the labyrinth pray for focus, a calm mind, and stability.
As you walk from behind the Chapel, find the Chapel Rose Garden. There is a bench located right across the Garden.
Take three minutes to reflect on the University Peace Pole in the center of the Rose Garden. Reflect on how you are working towards peace. Reflect on the ways you have created conflict instead of peace. As you end your time pray for peace across the globe. Ask God to help you create peace instead of conflict.
Walk across the parking lot and find the path to the right of the Library that leads to Kingsman Park. Stop at The Enormous Luther.
Take a moment to pray for our University. Pray for all the students, staff, and faculty. Pray that God continues to lead our University in the right path and continues to bless it.

Walk back to the spine towards the Academic Corridor. Take a left and find the Uyeno Amphitheater nestled between the Soiland Humanities Center and Overton Hall. Find a bench or a nice spot inside the amphitheater.
When settled, take three minutes to think about your life this very moment. Are you happy? Content? Sad? Find whatever emotion you are feeling and dig deep into why you feel the way you do. If you are not comfortable with your feelings, what can you actively do to be more comfortable?
Now, walk over to the Pederson Ranch House.
Once settled by the Ranch House, take three minutes to think about the gift Mr. Pederson gave. Mr. Pederson gave all of his land in the name of God to our University. He gave all he had for a vision and a conviction he believed in. What are your visions for the future? How are you going to get there? What are your passions and beliefs? How are you going to take your passions and talents and serve the world you live in? Pray for help as you walk down the path God has made special just for you. Pray for guidance as you discern your future.
