Course Reserves

One of the ways Pearson Library addresses textbook affordability and equitable access to information is by maintaining a Course Reserves collection. These items are identified by faculty as required materials for their courses and are freely available for student use.

Start your search in our library catalog to see if your course materials are available through Pearson Library. This collection is currently limited to physical textbooks and does not include eBooks, journal articles, or other digital material. Our Searching the Library Catalog guide can help you get started!

Sharing and distributing copies of Course Reserve materials follows the same copyright guidelines based on the Fair Use provisions of the U.S. Copyright Act of 1976, Section 107. More resources and information about copyright can be found on the library's Copyright for the Classroom guide.

Information for Faculty

Any faculty wishing to have their required textbooks on reserve in Pearson Library can check the library catalog for availability. The library staff can process and relocate the textbooks to the Course Reserve collection for the duration of the semester or term.

If the library does not have your textbook(s), please consider lending your instructor copy to the library for the semester or term, at which point it will be returned to you.
