The Scholarship

For this reason, we’re pleased to announce the 2025 5Estimates.com scholarship program. We know that affording continued education can be costly, which is why we set up our program to help offset the cost of attending. Twice a year we will distribute $1,000 in awards.

Our scholarship program provides financial assistance to students who have been able to significantly improve their grade point averages since beginning their college education. Each semester, we award a $1,000 scholarship to a student who can demonstrate that their GPA has increased by at least one point from semester to semester or year to year. By supporting students who have overcome academic and personal struggles, we aim to help them ensure that they can achieve their educational goals.

Winners of the Rising Stars Scholarship can use the award to pay tuition or address other costs related to their college education, including housing, books, or supplies. Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Disparti Law Group’s Service to Humanity Scholarship, an applicant must currently be enrolled in a course of study at any accredited community or junior college, or an undergraduate or graduate degree program anywhere in the United States. High school graduates or GED holders who are about to start college-level studies are also eligible.
Candidates must be in good academic standing and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

Eligible candidates must also be able to demonstrate their strong commitment to helping others and be able to describe personal examples of time they have dedicated to helping others in the past.

We have immense compassion for those who have lost loved ones, homes, and businesses or suffered other losses as a result of natural disasters. We recognize how hard it can be to return to normalcy after these devastating events. Global Scholarships’ mission is to make scholarships accessible and transparent, and we would like to take one step closer to our mission by offering an external scholarship for a prospective international student. There are currently very few external scholarships that are specifically for international students, and we want to make scholarships more accessible for international students by offering this annual scholarship.

For a young person, losing a family member can be a devastating experience. However, losing multiple family members all at once is almost unthinkable. That’s what happened to Dexter Gardiner, who on July 9, 2006 lost six family members in a tragic car accident on the Bronx River Parkway.

Yet despite the loss, Dexter chose to use the tragedy as a way to help others who have experienced similar situations in losing beloved family members unexpectedly. Needless to say, for those left behind, especially children whose college education may suddenly be in doubt due to financial concerns, the world can suddenly seem very uncertain.

However, thanks to Dexter choosing to start the Gardiner Foundation, children in these unthinkable circumstances can rest easy, knowing they can receive financial help for their education. By teaming up with Jeff Korek and his partners here at the law firm of Gersowitz, Libo, and Korek, a scholarship of $1,500 will be awarded annually to as many as five deserving students. By doing so, we at Gersowitz, Libo, and Korek can do our part to help ease the financial burden a student’s family may have in trying to help them realize their dreams of higher education.

Car accidents in Austin, TX are an unfortunate occurrence, and with approximately 1,000 crashes a month within Austin’s city limits alone (according to Vision Zero), they are a common occurrence. These accidents have led to 271 reported serious injuries and 58 fatalities in just the first eight months of 2024. The effects of these crashes extend far beyond the individuals directly involved, often impacting their families in profound ways that can be difficult to comprehend for anyone who has not personally experienced the fallout that a serious crash can have on a family. These statistics highlight the sheer number of families facing the life-changing consequences of car accidents every year in Austin, and we know personally how deeply they can disrupt not only the lives of victims but also their loved ones.

Our team at Sandoval & James has many years of firsthand experience working with car accident victims and witnessing the profound mental and physical injuries our clients and their families have had to endure. We have also seen the impact car accidents have on our community. In an effort to help support Austin car accident victims outside our legal representation, we are proud to launch a new initiative. The Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship is a college scholarship of $1,500 awarded to a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, participation, and leadership in school activities and work experience and interest in pursuing a career in the health and fitness-related fields. The student may apply and use the money for education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, and room and board. Michael Moody Fitness sponsors the scholarship.

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the United States.
• Be accepted to and attending school as a pre-law undergraduate or entering law school in the fall of 2025.
• Have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0.

Requirements:

• A completed resume.
• A 1-3 page typed essay on a topic of their choice related to the area of law they intend to pursue.
• A complete copy of their school transcripts.

The Buckfire Law Scholarship Committee is currently accepting applications for the 2025 Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. Disability Scholarship.

The Disability Scholarship was established in 2014 as part of the law firm’s commitment to helping students with disabilities or injuries who are in need of financial assistance for educational purposes.

The scholarship is available to students of any age, with any type of disability, including but not limited to physical disabilities, medical conditions, mental or psychiatric conditions, speech and language, learning disabilities, behavioral conditions, and all other conditions.

The scholarship will award $1,000 to one student selected by our scholarship selection committee.

Disability Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Recipient is a U.S. citizen enrolled at an accredited college or university within the United States
• Has a disability diagnosis from any person qualified to make a diagnosis
• Completed at least one semester of classes at an accredited college or university.

Disability Scholarship Application Requirements

In order to apply for the Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. 2025 Disability Scholarship Program an applicant must submit the following items on or before October 1, 2025:

• A completed scholarship application form. (Located at the bottom of page)
• A one-page typed essay describing how you overcame adversity caused by your disability and what you learned from that experience.
• An official or unofficial transcript from an accredited college or university that includes your most recent semester
• Diagnosis documentation of the disability from a person qualified to make a diagnosis.

Essay Overview

We are asking students to write a 150-300 word essay about the following: Describe an obstacle that you overcame, and how that experience demonstrates your character or helped to shape it.

We want students to explain a personal challenge they experienced and how that experience molded them into the person they are. 

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be high school seniors that are graduating in summer 2025; or
• Applicants must be currently enrolled in a university for the start of the fall 2025 semester.

• Applications and essay must be submitted before December 15th, 2025; and
• The winner of the scholarship will be notified no later than December 30th, 2025.

Scholarship Reward
