About this event

Based on the book, Train Your Board (and Everyone Else) to Raise Money, this workshop is designed to teach you how to teach others — especially board members — to increase their comfort and skill in fundraising. During this session, we’ll try out several exercises while learning a variety of tips and tricks that will make you a more effective facilitator, trainer, and fundraising coach. This virtual workshop is highly participatory and will include multiple break-outs to practice and apply the skill you learn. Please come prepared to engage with your peers.

Expected learning Outcomes:

Through this workshop, participants will be able to better train board members, volunteers and other staff to:

• Lower their fear and discomfort with fundraising
• Implement Effective listening and storytelling with donors
• Structure and making the ask
• Manage donor relationships more skillfully

 Who should attend:

Executive Directors, Development Directors and staff, Board leaders accountable for fundraising.

Andy Robinson

Andy Robinson (www.andyrobinsononline.com) provides training and consulting for nonprofits, businesses, and government agencies. Over the past 28 years, Andy has worked with clients in 47 US states and across Canada.

Since pandemic began in March 2020, he has designed and facilitated more than 175 online meetings, webinars, and remote workshops covering a variety of topics, including fundraising, board development, marketing, leadership development, facilitation, planning, change management, and train-the-trainer programs.

Andy is the author of six books, including Train Your Board (and Everyone Else) to Raise Money, www.trainyourboard.com. His latest is What Every Board Member Needs to Know, Do, and Avoid. He lives in Plainfield, Vermont.
