About this event

In today’s challenging nonprofit landscape, attracting, developing, and maintaining talent is the key to success. Leaders are being called to action to cultivate thriving workplace culture where employees are inspired to engage and contribute to mission-critical initiatives and outcomes.  Executives are tasked with creating environments that recognize employees as meaningful contributors, empowering diversity of thought, fostering creativity, and enriching decision-making to drive innovation.

In this participatory 3-hour workshop, nonprofit executives and leaders will explore practical strategies for developing leadership from within their organizations to drive core strategic objectives, adapt to changing environments, and achieve sustainable impact. Participants will delve into comprehensive planning strategies to attract and retain top talent, including crafting a compelling Employee Value Proposition (EVP) tailored to the unique needs, circumstances, and culture of their organization. Through large- and small-group discussions and reflective exercises, attendees will gain actionable insights and tools to foster a culture of leadership and growth within their nonprofit organizations.  Join us to transform your organization into a dynamic environment that thrives!

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  1. Formulate a unique Employee Value Proposition (EVP) that articulates the benefits of being an employee, for use in recruitment and fundraising.
  2. Plan leadership development initiatives to engage high-potential and new employees, using strategies that identify and nurture a diverse range of potential leaders within their organization.
  3. Design realistic, growth-focused performance management techniques that support employee development and align with organizational goals to help retain and nurture top talent.
