About this event
As nonprofit boards strive to be more effective, they are actively working to recruit board members who support their ideals, represent the diversity of the community, and bring a wide range of skills. So, what holds these dynamic Boards from reaching their true potential?
In this workshop we will explore the practical tools for creating a productive Board, one characterized by open and respectful dialogue, collaborative and inclusive participation, and effective focus on the vision. We will cover:
- Identifying and filling the gaps on your board.
- Creating and using a board “job description.”
- Board orientation strategies.
- Designing and facilitating productive, engaging meetings.
- Alternative governance models that share responsibility across the board.
This workshop is designed for Nonprofit Executive Directors and Board Leadership. Team participation is encouraged.
