Scandinavian Festival

Enjoy live entertainment - music, dancing, storytelling, skits, craft demonstrations and more. Food available for purchase as well as cooking demonstrations. Vendors showcasing various cultural offerings. 

This festival of Nordic culture features music, dancing, cooking and craft demonstrations, vendors, and activities for people of all ages. 

Festivalgoers can visit authentic Viking and Saami settlements; decorate head wreaths with ribbons and flowers; dance around the Maypole; and taste Nordic foods including lefse, aebleskivers, Swedish meatballs and Viking dogs. Younger Vikings can enjoy the Hans Christian Andersen puppet shows and make free Scandinavian craft souvenirs. 

Visit the main stage to enjoy Scandia and Swedish dance groups or musical guests, or participate in a traditional worship service. 

Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 5, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 6. The event is sponsored by the Scandinavian American Cultural and Historical Foundation. 

Admission starts at $15 for adults and children 13 and older, and is free for children 12 and younger and current Cal Lutheran students, faculty and staff with a valid ID. Only service dogs will be permitted.
