A story about six families, whose children are battling cancer, coming together in a hospital ward; through love and music, they support and heal one another, sharing moments of joy and tears.
Synopsis
“Welcome to Ward 816, a place filled with incredible children who are true warriors. The scars on them are badges symbolizing their strength in fighting various life-threatening diseases. In this bustling ward, you 1ll meet: Yuan, who grew up in a zoo; Shi-yan, the clever inventor who hides inside a home-made robot; Luo Heng, the adventurous biker exploring the hospital hallways; Nuala, who wears skirts due to a
lump on her bottom; Jia-nong, the music-loving melancholic girl; and Da-shan., experiencing the magic of first love in Jia-nong. Despite their parents’ occasional arguments, they always come together to support one another when it matters most."
"BIG" is a heartwarming drama revolving around children that will make you laugh, cry, and leave the theater feeling inspired to face the world with renewed enthusiasm.
This event is free and open to the public. There will be a Q&A session with the director and screenwriter, Wei Te-Sheng.
