Kids and Family Together Promotional Video
Kids and Family Together’s key Goal is Building Relationships, Strengthening Families, and Enhancing Attachments. The organizations mission is “to straighten relationships and provide safe, supportive help and education that keeps families emotionally connected to one another.” Since 2000, Kids & Families Together, a not-for-profit, has served kinship, adoption, foster, and birth families in Ventura County. Working with children who have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, loss, grief, and multiple placements. As well as, caregivers in need of specialized education, support, and strategies to help raise safe, healthy, nurtured children. As CLU Students our mission was to observe and highlight the programs and services that are ultimately provided to these families through a promotional video. Through interviews with co-founders, counselors, family members, board members, & peer advisors we learned about the programs and what they offer to the community. Using the interviews, narration, and B roll we constructed a short promotional video bringing kids and families together. This promotional video will be highlighting their new Downtown office location including the lobby, in-office therapy rooms, training room, and more as well as demonstrate some of the programs and services they provide; such as Theraplay. There will also be a brief cameo of their therapy dog Charles, who has his very own adoption story and is used in sessions with familys. We will also provide some footage about the Therapeutic Visitation Center located off Market in Ventura. This location highlights there family reunification program for birth parents who are hoping to reunify with their birth children.
