Early Childhood Education & Benefits for CA Economy

For our next MPPA Policy Talk we are excited to present "Early Childhood Education & Benefits for CA Economy."

What long-term impact does early childhood education have on society? Cal Lutheran professor Jamshid Damooei, PhD, has studied this issue for decades and he will cover this important question. He will be joined by Fabiola Lara, an expert on early childhood education and founder of EquaNurture, LLC.

With a return of $4-$13 for every dollar invested in early childhood education, this area is necessary for greater government and civil society investments. As we envision a stronger and healthier California and a better world, early childhood education programming should be at the forefront of every development discussion, both locally and worldwide. As the climate crisis and rising rates of migration push children and families to move, early childhood education policies and systems must keep up with the changing needs of these vulnerable groups. This talk will help us refocus our attention on this crucial developmental issue.

Damooei and Lara also will take questions moderated by Sabith Khan, PhD, Master of Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) program director at the School of Management. Everyone is welcome to join the conversation.

Registration is required. Registered participants will be sent information about joining the Zoom webinar.
