“Yellow Book Road” Reenactment

This academic year marks the 40th anniversary of the Pearson Library and Preus-Brandt Forum! To celebrate this milestone, we are bringing back the “Yellow Book Road” event from 1985.

On February 27, 1985, hundreds of volunteers—students, staff, faculty, and community members—came together to move books across campus from the old library (now Alumni Hall and the Centrum) to the newly dedicated Pearson Library. The library officially opened to students on April 14, 1985.

Join us during the 2024 Homecoming Weekend as we reenact this incredible volunteer effort by helping library staff move the DVD collection to a new location within the library!
