This time last year, I was preparing to complete my undergrad in Psychology at CSUCI. I was interning at the County of Ventura as a Mental Health Associate. I was determined to pursue my Master’s, but I wasn’t sure if I should go for an MSW or MBA. It was a huge decision, but I have always been passionate about business and dreamt of running a corporation.
I am the first in my family to complete high school, let alone pursue a Master’s. So I decided to ask my professors and colleagues at my internship and, of course, sift through information online. I needed to choose between going to CLU or Pepperdine for my MBA. I was talking to a colleague at the County, they had attained their MBA at CLU, but they told me they wouldn’t recommend anyone go there because it wasn’t the best school for an MBA. So I decided to apply at CLU even with the unworthy review from my colleague.
I am so thankful that I did choose to attend CLU. I am now a part of the MBA program. From filling out the application to being a School of Management Brand Ambassador, I am thankful to all the professors, faculty, and students I have met along this journey. I have only attended CLU for a short time, but in this time, I have grown so much and integrated myself into the CLU community. I have met many inspirational people who have helped me strive for my goals. CLU is a great school, and I am proud to be an ambassador for CLU.
