The culturally diverse population at California Lutheran University and its Center for Lifelong Learning continue to be served by Fifty and Better courses. These courses reach students in outlying areas who might not be enrolled in traditional face-to-face classes.

Intellectual wellness, implies that one can apply the things they have learned, create opportunities to learn more, and engage the mind in lively interaction with the world around. The rapid growth and availability of social networking websites have changed the students approach to learn and manage the information about their academic, personal and professional lives.

Through their courses, instructors demonstrate sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of students, including those with disabilities. Access without completion is an empty promise.

For those who are returning students, people with health conditions or impairments, the online format provides the ideal opportunity to participate in class. Also as a retired college instructor with 40 years teaching experience, I had the privilege to observe first hand the expertise that Cal Lutheran instructors exhibited in enhancing the learning process of the students in our classes. Thank you CLU Fifty and Better!
