As a first generation student, California Lutheran has provided me with a community full of support and assistance that constantly pushed me forward. Without SSS, caring staff, and even my past roommates, I wouldn’t have made it so far. Through every obstacle whether it be financial or emotional, someone from the Cal Lu community looked out for me. I stepped on this campus confused and scared, but I leave now confident and connected to my campus. To me, my graduation as a struggling first generation student is proof that #CallutheranCares.
