I’ve had the pleasure of teaching at CLU since 2006, primarily in the Bachelor’s Degree for Professionals program (formerly ADEP) and also in the past, in the MBA program. It has been very rewarding having the opportunity to work with so many of our students to help them gain a solid understanding of the subjects we offer. In my case, this has included organizational behavior, human resource management, organization Development, and various leadership courses.
Most of the students in both the Professionals and MBA programs already have been in the working world for some time and have returned to school to gain knowledge and skills that will enable them to enhance their careers. Being in the workplace, they’re able to bring many rich experiences that contribute to classroom discussions on our course topics and to apply what they’re learning to their jobs right away.
Being part of the CLU community also has been rewarding because of the ability to work with so many knowledgeable and friendly colleagues, which offers the chance to collaborate on ways to provide positive experiences for our students to help them achieve learning outcomes and get the most from our courses. I’ve also been fortunate to work with excellent leaders in the Bachelor’s Degree Professionals, and our MBA programs, as well as the top leadership of our university. These leaders are very supportive of our students, staff, and faculty as we all work together to fulfill the missions of the university and our schools.
I hope to have the privilege to remain a part of this terrific community and continue working with our students for many years to come.
