Dr. Haco Hoang
Submitted by Isabella Breda '21
In the face of the pandemic, police brutality, hate crimes, a tumultuous presidential election and a horrific display of white supremacy at the Capitol, Dr. Haco Hoang continued to foster critical discourse and offered an outpouring of compassion and support for her students. It isn’t easy to study Political Science in any given year, but the last year has been especially traumatic. In our classes over the last year, Dr. Hoang gave us space to discuss current events and to attempt to understand the root of the issues. More importantly, she gave us space to grieve, to vent and to check in on our wellbeing beyond academics.
