Living and working on campus and especially the dorms has been fantastic. As a former commuter student, I love living on campus so much. As soon as I moved on campus I made so many more friends which was hard as a commuter student. Mobility to and from my class is seamless and I’m surrounded by endless support of my peers and ResLife staff. Living in a shared community with others I feel is an integral part of the college experience but also learning. This is where we learn all the soft skills, like that time my roommate taught me how to cook or tie a tie. I also get to meet people from every state and different culture and learn from them. If CLU’s goal is to create global leaders, these types of communities is how you achieve that.
