International Education
Submitted by Juanita Hall
It has been one of the greatest joys in my life to be both a participant and a promoter of international education since the 1970s. As I prepare to retire, I realize that the greatest lesson I’ve learned from my international travel and my international students is that we are all connected as human beings and can enjoy and appreciate our variety of colors and cultures rather than fight about them. This is why I support international education. It seeks to replace fear and misunderstandings with appreciation, mutual respect, and understanding. I truly believe that the more students with access to international education, the stronger our human connection to each and the fewer human tragedies we’ll have to endure. I hope everyone who feels as I do will contribute to the global fund to increase this access.
