While at CLU, I participated in events with the SEEd Project. At the time, it was a great way to spend time outside caring for plants and getting to know fellow environmentalists on campus. Little did I know where this initial exploration of gardening would lead. I served in the Episcopal Service Corps in St. Louis in 2014-2015 working at EarthDance Organic Farm School in Ferguson, MO. My work there led to a passion for locally-based sustainable agriculture and education programs. I continued on to get my masters in Environmental Science and have been working on farms and teaching about food and farming ever since. The way that an ethic of community, sharing good food, and love for the environment is present in programs like the SEEd Project and the other farms I have worked for keeps me passionate about making the world a better place.
