I live in Idaho and was in 100% “stay home” mode starting in March 2021. I friend sent me the link to upcoming Fifty and Better courses, being done on Zoom. The OSHER courses being offered in my area were 50 miles away and had closed down for the pandemic, so I decided to give Cal Lutheran a try. WOW! I chose my first classes to assuage my uneasiness by getting some facts, taking “The Science Behind Pandemics” in June and “American Political Parties” in July. This gave me information that I could calmly share in positive conversations with others during a difficult time. After a few random lectures and a game of trivia in the fall, I recently fed my current need for fun and entertainment with courses on female pioneer film makers and the American musical… and I now have a huge backlog in my Netflix and public library queues! I have truly enjoyed each of these classes!
