The CLU Women’s Basketball Team

In this chaotic time, reflection has been high on my list as we all navigate the murky waters of these trying times. While cleaning out the garage I came across the photo from my senior season at Cal Lu, cutting down the net from the SCIAC championship game; the first in women’s basketball history. The wonderful experience and memories of my incredible coaching staff and teammates in my time at CLU came flooding back to me. CLU gave me so many opportunities and has impacted my life in such a positive way. This moment in time reminds me why I dedicated my life to becoming an educator and coach. The feeling of love and comradery and a lifetime of memories fueled my desire to help young people find their purpose in life. The social, athletic, and academic experience of CLU crystallized and inspired me to reach my dreams of coaching and teaching. Being fortunate enough to say I graduated and played volleyball and basketball at CLU brings me so much pride. Becoming a Regal changed my life and gave me a platform to do what I love. Coming back years later to my Alma Mater to become a collegiate coach for the first time is a blessing and an honor. I love coaching these young women as they begin to see their future dreams evolve with the same pride and love for the game, which continues to motivate me in my amazing time at CLU. Thank you to everyone who inspired me and pushed me in my academics and in my athletic career. Being a part of the CLU family has been one of the greatest experiences of my life!
