I am a former Regals water polo player and now I am a Cardiac ICU nurse at Los Robles Hospital right down the street in Thousand Oaks, Since our cardiac surgeries are mainly elective, during this time they have been cancelled and our unit is now the COVID ICU. The teamwork I learned playing college sports has truly impacted the way I work now at the hospital during this crisis. I’ve moved to Tennessee and Newport Beach since graduating and recently just moved back. Thousand Oaks has just felt like home ever since moving here for Cal Lu in 2011 and I’m so happy to be back here supporting our community.
