International Student Resilience

Through direct phone call/Zoom outreach, the Center for Global Engagement staff have communicated with many of our international students and heard amazing stories from our 350+ students from 46 countries. While most are fortunate to be healthy and safe, others are outreaching in distress. Borders remain closed and/or flights restricted, employment options are sparse, jobs are lost, currency exchange rates dropped,etc. It has been heartwarming to see the community, near-and-far, respond to share a contribution to the Global Engagement Fund.
In times of crisis, the Global Engagement Fund can offset some of the challenges impacting the outbound/inbound community. And in normal times, the Global Engagement Fund can help students pursuing global engagement opportunities to fulfill their dreams (e.g., research/internships abroad, service-learning overseas, etc.).We look to the horizon where brighter days await. The financial resources shared today will help us to care for our students.
