Cal Lutheran has positively impacted my life in many ways. The best thing that happened to me was getting randomly placed in Pederson Hall freshman year with who I now consider my three best friends. We all continued to live together for the remaining three years of college and I have so many wonderful memories with them! From movie nights, to game nights, to spa nights there were always memories being made. Being forced to leave our dorm so suddenly without getting the opportunity to say goodbye and properly end our four years of living together due to COVID-19 was difficult. I find comfort in knowing I have such strong friendships in such difficult times. Even though we are miles apart we have learned to stay connected. We still enjoy watching movies together, FaceTime calls, and even doing puzzles together online. The best thing California Lutheran University gave me was connection. From my amazing and supportive roommates and friends to my caring and inspirational professors, I always feel as though there are people alongside me to support me and join me in where ever life takes me.
