Not Forgotten: Ukraine's Struggles and Stories of Perseverance
The Global Forum lecture series
While the Russia-Ukraine War began in 2014, escalation in 2022 brought the conflict to the global stage. As February marks three years of heightened warfare, we invite the Cal Lutheran community and guests to join us for a global forum presentation offering insights into the history of the war, lived-experience of the conflict and humanitarian aid efforts.
Speakers include Hebert Gooch, PhD, Cal Lutheran professor emeritus of political science, Olha Isaieva, MS' 24, graduate of the GSOE counseling program who is from Ukraine, and Dave Nonnemacher, humanitarian aid worker providing frontline resources in Ukraine.
The Global Forum lecture series identifies topics associated with areas address by the U.S. Foreign Affairs Council and other country-specific topics. If interested in partnering with the Center for Global Engagement and Global Studies on a future program, please contact us at global@callutheran.edu.
