First Session: What Advisors Should Know When a Retiree Relocates
Presented by Phil Walker
There is a window of opportunity when a wealth management retiree sells and buys a new home to make adjustments to the retirement plan within that same transaction at no additional cost. Home equity can be utilized strategically to increase portfolio sustainability by reducing the need for unplanned liquidations or avoiding an increase in the withdrawal rate beyond safe levels. The presentation covers a number of case studies to improve client outcomes ranging from improved long term care planning, cashflow improvement and grey divorce settlement scenarios.
