Senior Art Exhibit 2023

Intertwined

Senior Art Exhibit 2023

Intertwined is a unique collection of works dedicated to exploring how objects, ideas and people are connected. This year’s graduating senior artists look into relationships that exist in our everyday lives, whether physical or unseen. The expression of ourselves as both one and part of a whole drives our creativity to immeasurable lengths. Through a variety of mediums, digital to physical, Intertwined investigates the complex dualities life presents to us. How are we moved by life’s connections and disconnections?

Chiemi explores the numerous hidden implications of colors through a series of monochromatic oil paintings ranging from vast landscapes to surrealist portraiture. Brandee Diaz bases her digital and physical art on her loved ones and life experiences. Jax channels his emotions and struggles with mental health into his works, inspired by the endless possibilities of materials and mediums. Emma Johnson takes inspiration from life around her, from nature to experience, and crafts it into clay. Rocio uses multiple mediums to reflect her experiences of different cultures and scenarios, hoping to create pieces that provoke profound introspection and joy to aid our walk through life. With a background in dance, Brandy Rowe draws inspiration for her photography by combining different art forms and enjoys telling stories through her work.

Admission is free and open to all. The William Rolland Gallery of Fine Art is located in William Rolland Stadium. The gallery is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
