English
Minor
Strengthen any major.
The value of studying English goes far beyond reading and writing. You’ll develop strong skills in both critical thinking and communication — essential to success in any field.
What you’ll study
You’ll design your own minor by selecting courses that line up with your interests. You could choose to focus on creative writing or literature, for example. Your academic advisor will work with you to make sure that your minor suits your goals.
I use the skills I learned in Dr. Lyons’ nonfiction writing classes while researching conservation topics and turning them into articles that will connect with readers. I also use the skills I learned at the Morning Glory to lead a new editorial program for WILDLABS.
