Free Master Classes in the Gilbert Sports Center Dance Studio
8:00 - 9:00         Yoga with Dana Fukagawa

9:15 - 10:45        Jazz with Dana Fukagawa

11:00 - 12:30       Contemporary with Dana Fukagawa

1:00 - 2:30          Hip Hop with Damian Gomez

Raffle to benefit World Dance For Humanity:
Raffle of Dance Apparel Gift Cards from Local stores as well as Discount Dance. com.  The raffle takes place from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM in the Mezzanine of the Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center (just outside the Dance Studio).  Money's raised from this raffle go to World Dance for Humanity - a Santa Barbara based organization that holds dance events throughout the year raising funds for direct aid to Rwanda.

 

Thrill the World Thousand Oaks:A world wide flash mob of Michael Jackson's dance from "Thriller". The start time for the flash mob is 3:00.  The event takes place in Kingsmen Park.  Sign up for free on site, from 12:00 noon until 3:00. Or sign up online.

You can learn the dance from a tutorial on the Thrill the World Global site. You can also join the Thriller classes on campus offered on Tuesday evenings starting September 27 at 6:00 in the Dance Studio of the Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center.

Cal Lutheran celebrates dance (and yoga) with free master classes in the Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center dance studio: yoga, 8 a.m.; jazz, 9:15 a.m.; contemporary, 11 a.m.; and hip-hop, 1 p.m. Registration is required. Thrill the World Thousand Oaks will commence in Kingsmen Park starting with a Dance party at 1:30.  In this worldwide tribute to Michael Jackson, participants dressed as zombies perform the Thriller dance synchronized with other Thrill the World events throughout the world
 
Those wanting to be officially included in the count for the world's largest flash mob will want to check in by 2:00.  Thriller will be taught during the dance party.  Get your face made up Zombie style and, for a small cost, enjoy refreshments.
 
Thrill time in Thousand Oaks is 3:00 pm!  
 
Events are free, but donations are gratefully accepted for World Dance for Humanity. This Santa Barbara–based organization raises funds for post-genocide Rwanda. This event’s proceeds will contribute to the World Dance Rwanda Education Fund that is funding a school.  The event is supported by a grant from the CLU Community Leaders Association and organized by the Theatre Arts Department.
