Jae Park in Recital

California Lutheran University senior Jae Park will perform in recital in partial fulfillment of the bachelor’s degree in music. The recital will feature vocal and organ performances and choral conducting. 

Jae will perform organ works by J.S. Bach, Léon Boëllmann and David Johnson and vocal works by Claude Debussy, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Franz Schubert and Giuseppe Verdi. He will also conduct choral selections by Wolfgang Mozart, Benjamin Britten and Johannes Brahms.

Jae is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in music with double emphases in education and technology at CLU. A native of Torrance, Jae began his first year at CLU majoring in biology but changed his major to music following his sophomore year. While at CLU, he sang with the CLU Choir for three years, assisted with three New Student Orientations, co-led the weekly student worship Common Ground, coordinated the small group ministry 3G Network, and served on Associated Students of CLU Government (ASCLUG). Following graduation from CLU, he plans to work as a church music director for a few years before pursuing a master’s degree in either organ performance or choral conducting.

Admission is free. A reception will follow the recital in the narthex of Samuelson Chapel. The chapel is located at 165 Chapel Lane south of Olsen Road near Campus Drive on the Thousand Oaks campus. Additional parking is available at the corner of Olsen Road and Mountclef Boulevard.
