Hip hop artist Chiddy Bang will perform California Lutheran University’s first large-scale concert at 8 p.m. Friday, April 4, in Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center.

Ticket sales will be available based on the following:

Undergraduate students beginning March 7 for $15
Graduate and professional students beginning March 14 for $17
CLU faculty and staff beginning March 14 for $20
General public beginning March 21 for $20

Ticket pick up: Purchased CLU-affiliated tickets (CLU students, faculty, and staff) must be picked up between March 31 and April 4 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Student Affairs Modular Unit 2 (click here for map). General public tickets must be picked up at will call from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center (click here for map) on the day of the concert. Relevant ID must be shown to receive your official ticket.

So who is Chiddy Bang?

A native of Philadelphia, Chidera “Chiddy” Anamege formed what was originally a duo while attending Drexel University in 2008. Now a solo artist, Chiddy Bang mixes into his songs samples from artists such as MGMT, Ellie Goulding, Icona Pop, and Passion Pit. His 2010 MGMT-sampling hit single “Opposite of Adults” peaked at No. 90 on Billboard’s Hot 100.

Where is the concert taking place?

Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center is located at 130 Overton Court near Olsen Road between Campus Drive and Mountclef Boulevard on CLU’s main campus in Thousand Oaks. Click here for map.

Because minimum parking is available in the lot near Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center, guests are encouraged to carpool.

When does the concert start?

The concert will open with a performance by a CLU student group beginning at 8 p.m. Chiddy Bang will take the stage following the student group’s performance. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and general seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

What items are prohibited at the concert?

Food, beverages including alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs and any other illegal substance as stated by California Lutheran University, and any other items deemed inappropriate by management are prohibited at the concert. Please be advised that bags will be checked at the entrance.

Is this concert suitable for children?

The performance may contain explicit language. Each person, including children, must have a ticket. Additionally, if the ticket holder is under the age of 18, parents’ or legal guardians’ advance authorization, permission, and consent is indicated through credit card purchase authorization when purchasing the ticket.
