Rwanda's Gift to You: Learning Harmony 20 Years Out

Rwanda's Gift to You: Learning Harmony 20 Years Out

Refusing to leave Rwanda during the 1994 genocide, Carl Wilkens, a humanitarian aid worker, was the only American to witness the events firsthand. Saving the lives of hundreds of people, he did what that U.S. government and the international community failed to do, stand against the killing of nearly one million people. Wilkens will share his experineces, and talk about our responsibility to protect people today and in the future from mass atrocities, regardless of who they are or where they live.
