Scultura Marmo: Sculpture by Béla Bácsi

Scultura Marmo: Sculpture by Béla Bácsi

One of the finest sculptors in Southern California, Béla Bácsi presents an exhibit that not only displays his graceful work in marble and bronze but also shows how a work comes into being from maquette to finished piece.

Bácsi’s extraordinary sculpture is exhibited coast to coast and is held in significant collections throughout the country. He is a Professional Sculptor member of the National Sculpture Society, New York City, and a Signature Member of the California Art Club (CAC), one of the oldest and most active professional arts associations in the nation.

In 1999, he won the National Sculpture Society’s Gold Medal and Maurice B. Hexter Prize for the Belgian black marble chef d’oeuvre “Nipples of Venus,” and in 2001 his fellow exhibitors at the CAC 91st annual members’ exhibition awarded him the Gold Medal for the Carrara marble masterwork “Driver of the Wheel.”
